Membership Information

The Group for Research in Pathology Education is a professional organization of pathology educators dedicated to improving the teaching of pathology to medical and other professional students. There are three levels of membership: institutional, individual and emeritus.

All members receive full access to the website, our collaborative teaching community and resources, Pathway, the GRIPE newsletter, and discounted meeting registration. In addition, Institutional members receive access to our GRIPE Digital Library which includes a database of over 4000 pathology teaching images and 5000 multiple choice exam questions.

Institutional Membership – institutional membership is open to any medical teaching institution for a sum of $900 US per year. This membership allows any faculty member at the institution full access to all GRIPE teaching resources, including the online digital library, and discounted registration to GRIPE meetings.

Supporting Institutional Membership – Supporting institutional membership is open to any medical teaching institution for a sum of $350 US per year. This membership allows any faculty member at the institution full access to all GRIPE teaching resources and discounted registration to GRIPE meetings. Membership does not include access to the Digital Library.

Individual Membership – Faculty and other teaching staff not affiliated with an institutional membership may join as an individual member for $75 US per year. This membership allows the individual access to access members-only sections of the website and all GRIPE teaching resources except for the Digital Library. They receive a discounted registration to GRIPE meetings.

Emeritus Membership – Retired faculty are invited to join at the discounted rate of $25 US per year. Emeritus memberships include all of the benefits of Individual Memberships.

Membership Cancellation Policy

Any member that wishes to cancel their membership must do so within 14 days of the renewal processing date. Memberships eligible for cancellation by this deadline will receive a full refund of their dues minus a $25 service fee. Cancellations received after 14 days will not be eligible for a refund.

Cancellations can be accepted via phone, fax or e-mail, and must be received by the stated cancellation deadline.

All refund requests must be made by the member or credit card holder and refunds will be credited back to the original credit card used for payment or via check.

Individual memberships may not be substituted.
Institutional members may request a substitution once per calendar year.
