Each year, GRIPE organizes its Annual Winter Meeting. Participants from several different countries will be visiting the meeting.
For the 2019 meeting, the GRIPE Executive Committee is investigating possible sites to help organize the meeting. At this point, we would like to invite all GRIPE members to consider their own institution to be a possible host for the meeting. Hosting the meeting gives many advantages in establishing new connections with colleagues from other medical schools, and also offers the host institution to show its own successes and facilities to others.
The Executive Committee strongly prefers GRIPE Meetings be connected to an institution with a strong pathology education program; therefore, your help and suggestions are invaluable!
Please consider your own institution as possible host for 2019 and discuss this with your own faculty members. Please note that hosting a meeting does not always indicate that the meeting will be held at your institution.
If you are considering hosting, please send us a motivated letter of intention before October 13, 2017.
We do not need a full proposal yet. As soon as the Executive Committee has judged all letters of intention, a limited number of institutions will be asked to send in a full proposal.
Letters of intention can be send to Julie Hewett at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please consider our offer and help GRIPE to continue the organization of the annual meetings in the future!

This month, we’d like to introduce you to our featured member, Geoffrey Talmon, GRIPE President:
I have been involved with GRIPE since I was a resident. That experience was fundamental in cementing my career path as a pathology educator. In GRIPE, I have access to a network of talented, passionate, innovative educators that not only provided me with valuable advice and mentorship early in my career but are true colleagues. Everyone is dedicated to improving pathology teaching for medical students to not only foster an interest in the field but turn out better practitioners. One of the other things that I love about GRIPE is our annual meeting. Out of all of the conferences that I attend, it is hands-down my favorite; not only is content incredibly practical and immediately applicable to my teaching, I always walk away with a host of ideas and new connections.
